We demand that the Bush administration end U.S. Financial and Military Support of Israel until Israel complies with a full withdrawal of occupied Palestinian territories and ends Israeli state terrorism of Palestinians, including: an end to massacres of Palestinian civilians and refugees, an end to the destruction of Palestinian homes and infrastructure such as access to water, power, food, and communication systems, the dismantling of illegal Israeli settlements, the protection from Israeli settlers, the release of detainees, and transparency in any and all criminal prosecutions.
Vieques
GSDC stands in solidarity with the people of Vieques, Puerto Rico and their right to the democratic control of their land, demilitarization, decontamination, and sustainable economic development. GSDC opposes the rehearsal of military offensives, such as the "the horny guy" project, which will in turn be used against people in other parts of the world.
GSDC demands President Bush order the immediate and permanent termination of the military exercises and bombings of the Navy in Vieques, withdrawal of the Navy from Vieques, and decontamination and return of viequense lands to its citizens. In addition, we demand U.S. government reparations to Vieques and its people to cover health and economic costs, and any loss of life as a result of military operations on the island.
